Elliott(Detail)

Elliott

This is an oil painting I did a couple of years after my brother died. I was trying to express a lack of communication and a feeling of isolation. I also wanted the viewer to feel like they were observing something in a very sterile environment. Almost like the viewer  were a doctor studying her patient.

Queen of Snails

I made handbills out of this image with the quote, "Snails may be slow, but at least they know who there master is," printed on the top. I handed out a bunch and left piles of them in every coffee shop I frequented. I received mostly positive emails - Good to know America still has a sense of humor... I think. I must thank Megan Kauffman for a card she made that read, "Snails may be slow, be at least they are always moving forward." I never would have done this without that as inspiration, and Megan's card is truly beautiful and much more original.

DeathMask

I did a whole series of work that focused on snails and the occult. It was kind of meant as a joke. These works are in the same vein as, "Bubblegum Cult," where I am again mixing pop culture with something more sinister.

Charlie

Bone Gunn's Drummer. One hell of a drummer. This is at the same show He His Himism played.

Bryan Kane

Crazy Picture I snapped of Bone Gunn's front man Bryan Kane. He is the writer and producer of the entire project. The man works really hard and accomplishes a lot.

Accuracy

This was the last show Bone Gunn played in Japan. These kids loved it... we loved it. I was sad as hell when I got on that jet the next day.

Penny

This is Penny of the band Bone Gunn. I will probably post a few "Bone Gunn in Japan" pics. They played some really cool venues, and while travelling with them I got to see the Tokyo I always wanted to see. Life changing.

Taroz w/ Bone Gunn

This is me in the bottom right. I'm with three Bone Gunn members and Shizuko Nikaido. Shizuko and her Husband Taro own the bar. I drank with Taro and his family untill 5:30am on this outing. It was one of the craziest experiences of my life, and definitely the most fun I had on my Tokyo trip.

HeHisHimism @ Pumpkin

He His Himism was the favorite band of everyone. Heavy, interesting, and totally Rock&Roll. This was for sure one of the best live performances I've seen. Look them up on youtube. The sound quality is terrible, but it gives a glimpse into the awesomeness of this band.

Jin @ K's Dream, Tokyo

This is Jin. The man is pure rock&roll. He is in a band called The Nice, and they kick teeth. His banned played at Bone Gunn's first show, and then Jin came to see them again at a different venue a couple of days later. He likes to drink a bottle of whiskey a night and raise serious hell.

Nacano-ku, Tokyo 2

Another picture from the back balcony.

Nacano-ku, Tokyo 01

A picture from my back porch in Tokyo. I had been wanting to visit this country since I was a kid, and it finally happened. A band called Bone Gunn invited me as their photographer. I told them I was new to the camera, and they told me I would figure it out. Okay!

Bubblegum Cult

Sculpture - wood, sculpey, and acrylic paint. Looking at pop culture and suicide. I wanted cute and invasive.

Self Portrait (Mirrors)

A digital self portrait I created a while back. I was really thinking about the ego and self- projection, and the inability to hide from oneself for very long. It is a little like being trapped between two mirrors, at least that was my line of thought when building this.
